NI Sevens add Spelga Pass Hillclimb to their Challenge Calendar for 2011...
The NI Sevens Racing series have included Rathfriland Motor Club's Spelga Pass Hillclimb in their list of events for 2011.
The nine round series, which includes Circuit Races, Sprints and two Hillclimbs, will make its debut at Spelga in August and more than a dozen of the little sports cars are expected to join the competitors from the Miller Oils Northern Ireland Hillclimb Championship and the local rally fraternity for the event.
The NI Sevens Challenge caters for replicas of the original Lotus Seven. The cars are small, simple, lightweight two seater open-top sports cars powered by 900cc motorbike engines.
Speaking on behalf of the event organisers, Rathfriland Motor Club, Chairman Wesley Johnstone commented "Its great that the NI Sevens have selected Spelga Hillclimb to be part of their series and we look forward to welcoming them to the event and we hope thay have a safe and enjoyable race."
